Officer of the Year

The Florida State Lodge, Fraternal Order of Police, proudly announces our annual Law Enforcement Officer of the Year Award for 2023.  

This award is designed to recognize law enforcement/correctional officers within the State of Florida based on the officer’s performance of humanitarian acts, community services, acts of heroism, or outstanding law enforcement accomplishments. Eligibility for the award is open to all law enforcement/correctional officers employed in the State of Florida.

The officer selected shall be recognized with an award commending the officer for their service.  In addition, an award bearing the officer’s name shall be presented to the officer’s agency head for display within the agency.  The presentation shall be made in June, during the Annual Conference of the Florida State Lodge Fraternal Order of Police.  The recipient shall be a guest of the Fraternal Order of Police at the award ceremony.  The Florida State Lodge encourages participation from all agencies.
